Preventative Care
Our providers practice the highest standard of evidence-based care. For this reason, we follow all CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) recommendations for vaccinations and preventative health care.
The best way to keep your child’s health on track is to follow the recommended schedule for Well Child Visits. Even if your child is healthy and is not currently due for any vaccinations, he/she still needs a yearly well child visit to ensure he/she is growing and developing properly. We FIRMLY believe all children should be vaccinated according to the CDC and AAP recommendations.
Well Check Exams – when scheduling, if there are other concerns, please notify scheduler at the time of scheduling to ensure the provider has adequate time to discuss your concerns.
Sports Physical Form - patient information should be completed prior to physician signature at well check exam. In addition, medication forms and other school forms can be completed during well check exam.
Fluoride Varnish is available and may be applied after the eruption of first tooth every 6 months until dental home is established.
*Gardasil for HPV is a 2-dose series (6 month interval) if started before age 15. If started after age 15 it becomes a 3-dose series (0, 1-2, 6 month intervals)
Transitioning to Adult Provider- Older teens may wonder when they should leave the pediatrician. We will see them until age 20. Please sign a release of information once you have decided on your adult provider so they can have all your health records to help ease the transition.
